The fluidity of life

Oh this life is beautiful! This was part of the wordings of a song by a popular African musician long time ago. But a wise individual knows that life is like a pendulum; it swings and has its deep (low) and high turns. I pray that your high turns will be more than deep ones in Jesus name.

History told us of people who were once the doyen of the society but later became beggars before they can eat; and also of those that were once written off by the world that are now ruling. If you are in an exalted position today, remember that some people were once there before you. If they did not leave the place, you cannot occupy it. The onus rests on you to play a godly role that will leave your name written in “gold” when eventually you leave the place.

A note of advice to the so called “big men and women” in the society: “if God refuses to lift you up, your promotion is only temporary”. If you allow a man to promote you, they will demote you when you annoy them. Therefore use your position for the glory of God and resolve to make God your partner who alone can sustain you.

Brother, have you been rejected by that sister when you ask her hand in marriage because you have a challenging family background? Do not lose your confidence in the Lord, it is only a matter of time; destiny will announce you to the world.

Beloved, wealth develops wings and flies away. Therefore, do not put your trust in the ephemeral things but lay up for yourself treasures in heaven. While you’re working hard in your daily endeavours, live as if today is your last day by living for Christ (Psalm 90:12).
